The southern end of the bay at Perranporth is peppered with caves and arches; a few are adits from ancient mine workings, while most are the work of the sea. From this vantage point it is possible to thread three of them together, bound by the curve of a stream, marching into the distance. It offered me the chance to explore the monumentality of these features, to try to give a sense of scale.
