Oil on canvas; monogrammed and dated 1887.

Additional Description
Meyer lived in Putney, and specialised in coastal scenes of England and Brittany. He won a Gold Medal at the Crystal Palace Picture Gallery in 1879 for his Autumn Twilight. He was especially good at quiet pictures of the coast by twilight and moonlight.
