Oil on canvas laid onto board; signed with monogram and dated 1910, inscribed verso 'Duton Hill, Essex'/ 21' and labelled with number 16.

Additional Description
PROVENANCE: The artist's nephew with Anthony d'Offay, London Private Collection, UK EXHIBITED: possibly NEAC, 1912 no. 66 'Duton Hill' Son of the impressionist painter Camille Pissarro, Lucien moved to London in 1890 and was one of the founding members of the Camden Town Group in 1907, a collective of artists influenced by the post-impressionist work of Gaugin and van Gogh. After three exhibitions in the Carfax Gallery the Group dissolved in 1913.
